About Kent, CT - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Kent, Connecticut is a town found in Litchfield County, and it situated along the New York border. Approximately 3,000 people call the community home, many of which send their children to one of three prominent boarding schools: The Marvelwood School, Kent School, and South Kent School. This rural community was incorporated in 1739, and historically it was known for its farming and iron ore production. Many celebrities and prominent historical figure have called Kent home, including actor Ted Danson, fashion designer Oscar De La Renta, politician Henry Kissinger, and singer Lana del Ray.

The most popular attractions in Kent revolve around the great outdoors. Bulls Bridge – one of two covered bridges in the state that is open to vehicle traffic – is found here, or you can also take a bike ride with the Bicycle Tour Company. Kent is home to two state parks – Kent Falls State Park and Macedonia State Park - and biking is also popular along the Western New England Greenway.

The Kent area is found within a humid continental climate region. This means the community experiences four distinct seasons, which provides an opportunity for almost any type of outdoor recreation. The year begins with a snowy and cold winter. Average high temperatures reach the mid-30s in January, but overnight lows fall well below freezing. Not only would indoor temperatures become dangerous without the right gas or electric furnace, but pipes and plumbing systems would be highly susceptible to freeze-related damage.

The spring season is rainy and cool, and weather conditions change once again in the summer. Daily highs reach well into the 80s during the peak of the season. Central air conditioners with high SEER ratings provide energy efficient and affordable cool air. The right system can make a major difference in how well Kent residents can enjoy the season.
